Backpack: A World Within Itself
Someone dug out a philodendron plant, wrapped the roots around its trunk and threw it away in a junk pile. Over time it dried out and turned into a bundle with its roots clinging to one another in circles. One day, when I was searchig for something suitable to photograph I spotted this wonderful bundle. It looked like a backpack which eventually became the title of the series. Initially I had hoped to get one good image from the this bundle but after disecting it into hundreds of pieces I was able to produce 79 images. Edition of 10 in 13x19 size. Other sizes are available upon request.
